For Austria at least, if you drive your bicycle somewhat normally while being drunk not much will happen, if you drive recklessly and endanger others they can suspend your licence. Same goes for walking 😅

It stands to reason that if you ride a bicycle while drunk, you aren't averse to alcohol. So, there is a real possibility that you might drive a car while drunk, too. You only lose your driver's license for cycling drunk if your blood alcohol level hits 1.6 per mille. So, the rule isn't actually that pointless.

Yep. Once you have a drivers licence you are fully aware of traffic and its rules. You (technically) can’t even cross a red light as a pedestrian. If you get caught you might get a point on your drivers license

I grew up in rural Germany. This is a rule we do ignore. After a „village party“ we all take our bike. The police knows lol

You can't use your mobile phone as well while riding a bicycle in Germany, and you can't ride at night without a light on your bicycle. If you are caught, you will pay a fine. If you are caught doing it many times, you might get points on your driver's licence or a heavier/huge fine.

Its not even limited on a bike a scooter a mini car for childs. Everything you drive or could drive drunk is enoughto get your license taken away. It’s enough to just push it along in front of you, because there’s a suspicion that, while drunk, you might get the idea to ride it. - happend to a friend of mine. Sued and lost the case

it is true also in the Netherlands they say because you are a traffic participant you can not be drunk but most of the time that law is not maintained but they can take it if they want 😅
