@surviving.switzerland: Today at around 5pm, I was just waiting to pick up my daughter from class at Aeschenplatz I was sitting on a circular bench, reading my book with my purse next to me. A couple laughing and came and sat down on my left. As they sat down, they were laughing and spilled water next to me, distracting me and making me look over at them. At the same time, another man was sitting on my right, next to where my purse was. Something immediately felt off. So I turned back towards my purse… and caught the man WITH HIS HAND INSIDE MY BAG. I completely freaked out & dug my hand into his coat pocket to look for what he stole. My dumbass didn’t know the police phone number so I asked a few people on the street for help but they all walked off???? Thank god chatgpt saved me lol. Immediately I called 117 and started following them. All three of them got up and walked away together. About a minute later, the man whose hand I caught inside my purse suddenly split from the other two and RAN down a different street. I was already on the phone with the police, freaking out and trying to explain where I was, so I continued following the couple. Then the woman started getting right up in my face 😤 Props to Basel police force because they arrived so quick 👏 they came within 6mins of the call to them The whole thing happened SO quickly!!
