@thehockingadventurebus: Watching pieces of glacier 🧊 break away and crash into the water was the highlight of our cruise with Stan Stephens out of Valdez, Alaska. We’ve seen several glaciers, but this was our first time seeing one calve (several times), and it was quite the experience. ad On the Meares Glacier Excursion we spent the day exploring Prince William Sound and cruising out to the base of one of the most active tidewater glaciers. Meares Glacier is unique because it is one of rare glaciers still classified as advancing. We also spotted a few whales 🐳 and other marine wildlife, rode through an iceberg field 🧊, and spent plenty of time out on deck taking in the beautiful views.
