I set an alarm up on the receptacle that my refrigerator in the garage is plugged into so if it loses power I get an alarm, recommended, not too expensive, might help in the future

cheap "fix" might be to put a PC battery backup (UPS) on the freezer. $60 and it'll beep at you if it loses power

yeah garages usually only have 1 20amp circuit unfortunately. I found out after I bought a dust collector for my table saw that I can't run while the table saw is running

My guy, I recommend an outdoor remote weather station. I have a sensor in all 3 freezers and it saved my the half heartache your feeling. Sorry brother.
