I mean, the Force field makes sense because that area could be interpreted as quarantined after the kid was let free in the Sushi area

I'll admit for their reaction the explosion works better, but the forcefield works best for world building. The CDA agents don't know they were out of range, so logically they would wanna capture Boo and keep the area quarantined to clean up anything she touched.

They had to change the chase scene where they were rescuing Lilo in “Lilo and Stitch” because of 9/11 too (it was originally them flying a plane through a city chasing Gantu)

yeah no the way that Sully's fur, the paper flying around them, and finally the burnt bag is definitely a leftover of the explosion scene. honestly it's pretty cool you can see that

a scene in Lio and stich got edited too. in the unreleased version there originally was a clip where jumba flys a plane between the buildings of the near by city to chas after gantu. when it was officially released this was changed to a space ship and the chase sequence had the city parts removed.
