@loritatv: #FYP #dangoterefinerystock Did Dangote Cement actually make you richer, or did devaluation eat your cash? Let's audit the numbers. 📊📉 A 600% gain on paper sounds massive, but when you run the numbers against foreign exchange devaluation, real purchasing power tells a very different story. Before you jump into the upcoming IPO hype, you need to understand how currency depreciation, inflation, and FX risk exposure quietly drain long-term wealth—even in blue-chip investments. Emotions off. Systems on. ? #DangoteCement #DangoteRefinery #NigerianStockMarket

So why are you calculating your wealth in US$ when you are not in America. Do Americans also measure their wealth in NGN? A 600% return beats local inflation and definitely generate return in real terms.

This guy is 💯 correct. someone bought a property in 2014 for 35m Sold it today at 100m And he lives abroad and he changed above 200k USD to achieve that 35m naira. Today, the 100m naira is less than 100k USD.

Firstly, let's keep the part of depreciation in value aside. Waiting 16 years to turn 100 thousand to 1 million is complete tying down of useful capital. In summary, you lost in terms of opportunity cost 💔

The main problem isn’t Nigeria stock but the naira valuation..imagine buying a foreign stock with that same amount that yielded same approximately 550%profit over the years, you’ll be smiling today. As long as our naira keeps depreciating long term investment isn’t a goal in Nigeria stock market.
