I don’t think many people realize that Drew came in for an injured Brady in the playoff game against the Steelers that same year.

Thoughts From Somewhere :
Folks forget without Bledsoe there would be no Patriots Dynasty. He and Parcels saved the Patriots, and kept them in New England. This guy gets all my respect.

The franchise was the laughing stock of the NFL before he arrived as the #1 pick in 1993.

Kind of a crazy situation a QB as good as Drew lost his job to a 6 round pick. And would end up being one of the best QB ever.

He’s always been a good ambassador for New England and has a lot of respect there. On the other hand when he was a replaced by Tony Romo in Dallas he seemed to have disdain for him

MattGenX70 :
My friend and I literally bought our patriot season tickets in 1994 after watching Drew Bledsoe perform in his rookie year in 1993 at a few games we went to and we were so excited to buy season tickets. We bought three season tickets for the 1994 season so we could always bring another friend, and we’ve had season tickets since and now we own eight season tickets together. Because we bought up some of the people who gave theirs up around us. but it was because of Drew Bledsoe we knew things were gonna change for the Patriots. And Drew was a huge part of the culture change. 🫵🙌💙💙💙💙

yeah there's a million stories like this Joe flacco got to start because another guy got tonsillitis. Trent green going down. I believe Melissa would have been talked about like Philip Rivers somewhere in that category of a player.

He still contributed to their super bowl run, filling in for Tom Brady in the AFC championship game when he got hurt. Well deserving of that super bowl ring

And this is why Drew will always be a New England legend. True Pats fans know there is no dynasty without Bledsoe.
