Hey, former D1’er here (Pitcher and DH) and coach. Love this, but have her hands drop into the slot at the same time as her back hip (hands and hips should fire togetherh). Love that she’s keeping that front shoulder in, but firing the hands and hips without the front shoulder is a game changer!

Get her looking forward to the pitcher at the start of the drill. Put a broom handle or a PVC pipe in her hand on the ground and when she takes the step have her leave her hands back creating separation. When she’s actually swinging at a ball, make sure there’s no negative movements. She doesn’t wrap backwards, she doesn’t lay the bat on her shoulder, etc… just quick to the ball! Good luck in the next tournament!

Hard to critique at such a young age but have her keep her weight back a little longer. The hips exploding dont mean much if all the weight is already on the front foot.

Have her star like if there is an actual pitcher . Head up eyes following the ball in to contact . She isn’t looking down when the pitcher is pitching
