I agree, I also believe this case is very layered in a way that expands on many areas like law, sociology, medical, mental health and child care. So everyone has their own expertise and experience, and we are all having the same conversation with different points. The idea that race has to be considered is valuable. This case has led to other black women being able to be tried and seen in this system.

I see it a little different, I agree with you that it isn’t shocking that the black man is the one that didn’t have empathy for her. However, my reasoning is because many black men are also misogynistic and sexist, the color doesn’t matter when it’s a man. Many men (not all) in every ethnicity unfortunately can share a sentiment of sexism simply because they are men. What you said could be the reason but I am more led to believe his reasoning is due to his view of women in general and the sexist red pill content flooding media outlets don’t make it in any better. Also, speaking about intersectionality, it’s possible for someone to be oppressed in one area and be the oppressor in another because racism and sexism isn’t one and the same. (Just my perspective on it)

Given the extent to which Black men are carcerally treated by society its inevitable that the same carcerality will form some of their worldview… like if you know that the way you’ll be treated is never going to be “fair” as much as it will demand punishment even when you’re failed, it’s kinda the second step that you’ll see that as a foundational basis upon which guilt is determined

I agree to a certain extent but I do not think it was ppd definitely think it was the meds she started and stop taking because she was taking so manny but at the same time it does come down to choice you don’t have to ask for more meds you don’t have to take them the doctors tried what was outlined for a patient experience server depression there needs to be way more communication between doctors I would say that for sure but i dont know if I can put it all on the system bet I might just be lacking nuance
