Hi professional hairstylist here, I appreciate and understand your reasoning for not going back for a refund. I think you’re being very graceful about it, but if you don’t like it and you told her several times to not cut more that should have been the end of it. Even tho we are professionals and should know what we’re doing and we should know what it will take to make our clients hair look beautiful, we still have the responsibility to listen to our clients. At the end of the day it’s your hair and you wear it everyday. I would at least think about leaving a complaint with manager cause maybe she need more help with a thorough consultation and her manager can help and address that with her.

Yeah but if you went to a restaurant and ordered a specific meal and it came out burnt and they told you they ran out so they can't remake it for you and you'll just have to eat around the burnt bits it would be crazy of them to still charge you for it.

You said "Stop" and "No" multiple times. Your hair is a part of your body. You deserve bodily autonomy. She violated your consent. Please ask for a refund. Or at least inform the manager/owner. This is not okay. You deserve better. With your refund, you could go on Amazon by $20-$50 pack of hair extensions and have your mom or friend or someone, install them for you, and then your hair would be a little longer.

I would still leave a review. It was awful it happened to you. I'd hate for her to keep doing it to other people. You don't keep cutting when someone says stop. Nomeans no in every circumstance.

If (for example) you ordered a teddy bear on Amazon and they sent you men’s boxers and said you can’t have a refund because they still sent you something, that’s not okay. You didn’t get what you repeatedly asked for. You deserve your money back. If she’s gonna f up someone’s hair she has to learn to take a loss. That’s part of being in business.

Ms Jenna there are these magical things called extensions! She can absolutely provide extensions for you, what was your appointment verbiage if it was a treatment and they/she cut it then right there is your hey tk the salon to offer to cover your fix

Yea idk if she cut 3 inches instead of two sure pay her easy mistake but if she cut off like 5 inches like a CHOP I would be raising hell especially after I told her that it was to short and she still continued

ugh please tell the salon!! she’s gonna do this to more people. it’s so not okay that she continued after you asked her to stop cutting. you can even complain without getting a refund. i think it could be a bit of people pleasing or social anxiety if you don’t feel like you can push back even though it’s necessary in this situation. this never should have happened to you

Personally I think if you ask for something and are very explicitly clear about what you want and then don’t get it you shouldn’t have to pay, at least not the full amount. Like I’m a vegetarian and if I ordered a veggie burger which they have on the menu and tell me they can do and I clarified multiple times and then they gave me a beef burger and said sorry sucks we’re actually not going to be able to give you a veggie burger I would ask for a refund. Like yes it is food so it’s different but still the principle is the same. I honestly probably would’ve just paid if I was in your shoes as well (yay anxiety) but I’d still contact the owner to see if you can get a partial refund.
