@rickythesteadyinvestor: What if you bought the #1 company in America every quarter, but sold whenever it fell 25% from its peak? I tested 60 purchases over 15 years against the S&P 500. One sell rule completely changed the experiment. Did it protect the portfolio or cost it years of compounding? Historical simulation only. No real money was invested. Not investment advice. #Investing #StockMarket #SP500

when you say the number one company are you talking about what company has the highest value at the end of the year or which company had the highest return for that prior year?

As Munger said, the profits are in the patience. If you’re going to buy growth stocks, and you can’t stand a 50%+ drawdown, invest in the S&P. You don’t get the return without taking on the risk.

After all these experiments how has it changed the way you invest for future. Do you now invest into #1 company in SP500 since that seemed to have such I strong out performance? Or do you stick to the ETF’s with multiple companies?

Hey! I saw one of your older videos and would like your opinion. I have been investing a little bit every paycheck and I am going to leave it in there for 30 years in hopes to make more money. Should I do the S&P 500 or the NASDAQ- 100?

Would be interesting to see if the trigger was at 25% decline. You purchased an additional thousand shares instead.

How many of those companies IPO’d within 5 years of being too company? Reason is ask is so many companies wait to IPO now and the gains aren’t as drastic

how do you define number one valuation? everything looks good when the market is growing... what level of risk tolerance so you need on the downside and longest period where s&p is above the value?
