@eddieachaparro: Every year I take some time to be very vulnerable on here when it comes to this topic. Maybe to some people this is too much or over sharing, I could definetely keep this to myself. This last year I’ve built an even bigger platform, and I’m always gonna be unapologetically me no matter what. But seeing how so many people leave us everyday fighting an internal battle, I think it’s only right I share my side and advocate the help towards those who are fighting themselves. I was 12 years old when I attempted to take my life, and everyday that I’ve lived since I’ve been grateful that for me it didn’t work out. I was small, depressed, bullied, and fighting internal battles no child should be. Luckily for me, I was one of the few that didn’t leave. But many other people don’t have the luck I had when I was so young. I don’t think anybody deserves to feel a well of sadness so big that it drives them to seek that option. Even people who are older, in their 20’s, 30’s, or even 60’s. There’s always light, there’s always support. This battle of life we go through everyday it’s never going to be easy, but we have eachother and we have so many resources to help. I’m always going to be thankful that it never went through for me, always thankful that I’m here and alive and experiencing the life that I love right now making beautiful forever art, making memories overseas, enjoying the time with friends and family and hitting the milestones I’ve always wanted to hit. Remember you’re not alone, I’m turning 25 this month and to me it is so insane and impactful that if it had gone through, I’d be forever 12. Thank you God.
