I was an Emergency Dispatcher for an Ambulance company in Southern California. After getting off a 12 hr night shift, I got home and my brother was calling me. While he was trying to tell what happened, the 2nd plane struck the WTC. That night I returned to work, and it was odd. Only 3 calls that night (we averaged 10-20 in an hour). it felt really odd when the flyers were posted around the office for volunteers to assist in NY. It still hits me sort of weird after all of this time.

I was in high school. 9th grade freshman. I remember sitting in Spanish class and the principle came on the intercom with a “Turn on the TVs to see the News” followed by a moment of silence before we did. Then we were glued to the TV with Tears.
