@supermoderno.com: A set of magnetic cubes to teach kids electronics. Made by Braun in the 1960s, the kit let children assemble a real circuit before understanding any of the theory behind it, getting them hooked enough to open the book and find out why it worked. There was even a radio expansion: with just a tuner and a diode, you could press a button and hear voices coming from thousands of kilometres away. That sense of wonder, realising you can combine things and make something happen, is what turns a kid into a maker. #Braun #DieterRams #electronics #learningkit #makercommunity #electronicsforkids #STEM #vintagetech #designhistory #designbooks
Why you don't launch something similar for us 54 yo kids?

In the 80s, I loved my Kosmos Elrktronik sets. My first set was physics experiments, and then I got the chemistry one. Only after that, did I get the electronics one, which was 5x the price of the others, but had ao many more options. But they were inspired by the set you presented

If this thing fell to my hands when I was 10 years old my life’s trajectory would be completely different.

Likewise. I was introduced to electronics with something similar and i was building my own radio transmitters and receivers. Then i heard about ICs (Integrated circuits, what we now call micro chips) and i thought i should learn about those as well, but when i applied to college, i did not know the difference between Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and i applied for Computer Science (which is programming the computer, not designing it). So now I am a software “engineer”. my latest work is at webium.ai, a web app that uses AI to generate sophisticated web apps.

Your video does not need to be shorter ! I certainly never knew the history of this and it is so very interesting. The underlying story about waking up the natural sense of wonder in children and enabling their natural desire to experiment and build whilst teaching them physics at the same time is wonderful. Please make a longer video.
