When rinsing a simple stain, is it best to hold the slide at about a 45° angle and gently rinse with DI water from the top of the slide, allowing the water to flow indirectly over the bacterial smear? Or is it okay for the stream of DI water to make direct contact with the bacterial smear? I've been taught both methods, so I was curious which technique is preferred.😄

This whole time I thought I did something wrong. I didn’t even put it under the microscope. I couldn’t see anything stained on the glass … but i don’t see anything stained on yours either until you placed it under the microscope
