I have such a fear that I came off like this one time bc the phone was ringing and I asked someone else to do it and I said “I’m a baby can you get it” and immediately followed it up with “I’m a coward” bc I was trying to say I was a wuss and wasn’t good at processing words over the phone and people get mad at me, but I feel like it came off like “I’m just a girl🥺” 😭😭

Had an intern who was “I’m just a girl” personified. I had to have a come to Jesus talk with her that she was incredibly unprofessional and that shockingly people don’t want to hear you complain about doing the job you’re being paid for. Especially as an intern who wants to work at the company out of college.

Worked with a coworker like this. She was 22, hired into a supervisor position at an insurance company mailroom (aka dealing with medical and legal stuff), and it was her first job other than McDonald's. Every time she was asked to do something for the 2 years she was there she acted as if we were asking a stranger on the street and always tried to act quirky to get out of it
