@emilygoesplaces: Every September, Arlington remembers 🇺🇸 Huge American flags are hung on buildings facing the Pentagon, creating a powerful tribute to the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001. I was in second grade when the attacks happened. Twenty-five years later, the photos, videos, stories, and memories still bring me to tears. And being in the DC area makes the weight of that day feel even more real. I can’t help but think about all the people who lost someone they loved on what began as an ordinary morning. So many lives changed forever in a matter of hours. We remember the lives lost and the heroism displayed that day and in the days that followed. We remember the families forever changed. We remember the courage and sacrifice of so many. May we #NeverForget 🇺🇸
