true love isnt grand dramatic gestures because those are grounded in fantasy: sure we can talk about hikoboshi and orihime being separated by the milky way and qays al-mulawwah going mad from being separated from his lover layla. But, these are so far removed from our own experiences of love we can’t exactly consider that true love. true love ultimately comes down to small gestures that you do unconditionally for that person: if they were having problems w their charger for a long time you get them a new one, if ur out on a date you bring emergency tampons and pads. i think it is true love to let ur girl wipe ur bum after u shit because not only is it intimate and grounded in reality but also because that intent is born out of a connection to you and a desire to make ur life easier
