@scrambled.pegs: I learned how to reverse image search and guess what?? People have been stealing my art!! Did you know that most of the art on sites like Amazon, Temu, Shein, etc. is stolen from somewhere? They don’t have artists employed to make their designs like you might think. They just have people searching the internet for other peoples’ art. Even some sites that look like small businesses are actually just buying rip offs in bulk on those types of sites and reselling it. If you have a good system for figuring out if the seller actually made the art they’re selling, PLEASE comment. I generally look for “about me” pages, consistency in style, and I feel like there’s just a vibe a shop gives off when they’re legit. But ughhh some people make it so hard to tell these days 😤 Also just a note, for the design in this video, I had revisited the piece after a couple years and made some tweaks, so that’s why some of the images look a little different from each other. The original design had lowercase letters and the updated version is in all caps. This sucks and I doubt I can get any kind of payment or retribution from these people. The best I can hope for is getting them taken down. I wonder how much money has been made off of my design in total. Hundreds? Thousands? Aaaanyway, I have this piece available as stickers and also really cool keychains, (and I guess I should make enamel pins??) so come support me if you like it 🫶
