They probably don’t mind at all. I have a son who just turned 23. He and his friends, all Swedish, started to talk a lot of English with each other when they were about 12. Nowadays they have friends from different countries and they talk English without even thinking about it. 😊

My girlfriend doesn’t speak English and she was worried about it when visiting Sweden but everyone makes such a huge effort not because they feel forced or bothered but because they want to include her ! Our entire midsummer was spent speaking English and everyone had a great time ! It’s done out of love and not force
