That was my parent’s home for me. My safe haven. When my adult son was a teenager & going down the wrong road, I found myself driving around at midnight looking for him. I gave up & went to my parents in the middle of the night, and went to sleep next to my mom. I was 50 years old but I just needed my parents in those moments and they didn’t ask any questions. I woke up refreshed and ready to face a new day. They have always been my strength. My son is 24 now & doing great. I hope I’m that safe haven for my own kids too.

Yeh. Not in my life. Emancipated at 16. They told me NOT to come home. Hahaha. But you bettered believe I stopped the toxic with my kids. They know to come home to me.

Nope… The absolute best thing my parents did for me was not allow me to come home. They were there to listen they would help if it was an extreme emergency, but I could not come home. I had to figure it out and the thing is, I was did figure it out. It might not have been pretty. It might not have been what I wanted, but I did figure it out. And this is less I have passed on to my nieces and my nephew. You will always figure it out. I will listen. I will support you but you’re gonna have to stand on your own 2 feet. It might be ugly at times, but you can do it.

If the Bills become too much … Prioritize spending , if Life “Too Heavy” seek Therapy to aid in learning better Coping Skills… No matter what I say you’ll never listen about my advice to Leave that person alone…. Of Course I’ll always be your shoulder to cry on , will have your back the longest day I live… But it’s important for you to learn Cope & Prioritize how to Spend & Save… just coming home Not the answer , You need to be successful & independent of me … Death will part us someday & you must be able to Stand Alone, I won’t always be Alive!
