No it’s more insane, they purposefully think that if all the resources are taken from the earth then that means Jesus will come. Why they perpetuate capitalism and think the earth is a gift for them to abuse. And since we were born into a world of sin that heaven is the only reprieve from living on earth(even if everyone won’t get in) and the way earth is seen after they’re taken away that earth basically becomes the lake of fire and is punish enemies or for ppl who weren’t following god. As someone who is a former Christian who grew up evangelical and southern baptist, it’s exhausting and just hard to get these ppl to wrap their heads around.

Not to mention if he WAS coming back, if you read the book at all, you’d know he’d be so fing disappointed in them for shrugging their shoulders as people died left and right.

With how they mistreat what's supposed to be a gift from God, they better really really hope he's coming back. Though it's a whole thing, you can't know when the rapture is coming which prob means it definitely isn't cause they think it is. Perhaps God is saying "daamn bich stand up"

the dont understand that the whole religion was created by the roman empire just so the ultra wealthy patrician class stays in power. the actual teachings of their jesus is to do great acts of charity here on earth in order to turn earth into a paradise. those roman lies make them all believe that their paradise is in heaven after death or after a mistranslation of what the rapture is.
