At the time I was roommates with my best friend (we grew up / lived in Las Vegas)... I never had the TV on in the morning, but she had it on as i was getting ready to leave for work and she was getting her and her toddler ready for the day. I looked at the TV for a minute and thought "What crazy movie is she watching to get ready for work??" and as I was trying to work it out, the second plane hit the second tower and it finally made it through to me that it was a real event happening in real time.... I was late for work and was astounded not many other people were and weren't as rocked as I was.... I just dont think they had seen it yet...

I was 7 and still remember walking into my classroom from PE and seeing my teacher glued to the TV while all of us were walking in. I don’t even blame her
