@path_to_stoicism: The Idiot was Fyodor Dostoevsky’s personal favorite novel. Written in European exile to escape severe gambling debts, the story features Prince Myshkin, a purely good, Christ-like protagonist. Dostoevsky drew heavily from his own life for the book, giving Myshkin his personal experiences with both epilepsy and a harrowing mock execution. . . . . . . . . . . . . . #fyodordostoevsky #philosophy #happiness #SelfImprovement #books
I would rather be aware but happy than remain aware and miserable. Life isn't going to always be pretty but there are times that remind you what it means to be alive and that's learning to appreciate the small things that come and go throughout our lives. When I was in my teens one thing I often thought of was What was the point in living if you can't share it with someone you value.

I say the opposite…..it’s better to be delusional and happy than to be unhappy and know the worst
