For those wondering, the dogs that were looking for survivors were getting really depressed because they kept finding dead people and not any survivors. The dogs kept giving up searching and just layed on the floor. Which, caused rescuers to purposely bury themselves in the rubble to give the dogs happiness at finding survivors and keep going R.I.P to all who died during 9/11

I remember a story hearing the first responders were very upset at seeing women’s shoes thinking they hadn’t been able to save them, until someone mentioned women kick off their heels so they can run, and that’s likely why they were there. Poor doggos, fabulous responders, hearts go out to all, so many difficult stores ❤️
