@178anatomy: THAT OUTER THIGH BURNING OR NUMBNESS MAY START HIGHER. The lateral femoral cutaneous nerve travels from the front-lateral hip region into the outer thigh. If this pathway becomes mechanically sensitive, symptoms can sometimes travel downward and feel like they are coming from the thigh itself.
