@sarahrav: Last week I presented at the @Creative Careers in Medicine conference and WHAT A FREAKING AMAZING 2 DAYS IT WAS!!! 🥳✨ I could share insights sure, but to be honest, I first wanted to take a moment to say how GRATEFUL I AM to every single person who attended my talks, came up to me to say hello, or supports me online 🥹🙏🏽 It’s crazy to think that me, a first-gen immigrant who was raised to believe that I should “follow the safe path” and “do whatever it takes to build a prestigious, stable career” is building one that COMPLETELY breaks all the rules. Because what do you mean that I built a business off my biggest passion in life? What do you mean that I get to help 1000s (even millions) of people around the world step into their power too? And WHAT DO YOU MEAN that there are real people out there who are inspired by the stereotypes and the rules I am breaking, and encouraged to do the same?🤩🤯 This weekend was proof that the world is changing. Medicine is changing. More than ever, we are CHOOSING to put ourselves first 👏🏽 We are CHOOSING to build careers that feel like us, not one designed for a man in the 60s 👏🏽  And don’t worry, our patients and their health will be all the better for it too, because the doctors treating them will be the healthiest and happiest we’ve ever been ☺️ Okay that’s all I’m going to spend the next 7 days in silence to decompress.
