Unfortunately, baking soda + vinegar as cleaning is just a myth. BS is a base and Vinegar is an acid so, when mixed, they basically cancel each other out. Use them apart.

Doesn’t baking soda combined with vinegar kind of neutralize each other? Adding a base to an acid produces an almost neutral ph. I guess it’s 2/1 vinegar so you are getting the acid from 1 cup of vinegar.

Baking soda and vinegar don't do much when put together you may think that because of the violent reaction that it makes but that's not true. You should always use baking soda and vinegar separate.

baking soda is used for an abrasive more then cleaning but yes its a myth and in fact make the vinegar less effective due to baking soda being a base neutralizing the acidity in vinegar best to add after the vinegar soak.
