In IT we do absolutely splendidly without AI… however I had a devops, a data scientist and a developer all come to complain they need access to AI to do their job 💀. I 👀 and was like: back in the day we needed VSCode or even just Notepad to do our jobs… nowadays not having AI is a blocker to do anything?

It’s the problem my company is pushing ai usage on the new apprentices and they’re not learning critical thinking skills. It’s the kinda tool that’s only good when used by someone who already has good knowledge in a field

22 years in IT but I do use claude to write me automated powershell scripts to make tasks easier for an edample I had claide build me a powershell svript to repair and diagnose windows issue and automatically repair it while I step away and work on other things. the trick os tonwork smarter not harder.
