And underneath it all was the same mischievous question: Are you actually thinking… or have you simply been told what to think ? Carlin didn't give people comfortable answers. He gave them better questions. That's why his work still bites. Because the world changed. The technology changed. The vocabulary changed. Human nature didn't.
