I’ve been modeling and animating things in blender since 2008. AI potentially taking the grunt work out of things like retopology, rotoscoping, masking, etc is the best thing to happen to the field. If you want to be a masochist and waste your time not creating art you go for it.

I do 3D modeling as a hobby, and recently, in response to a video showing my workflow, some "tech bro" asked why I was still doing it all by hand. Why should I hand over a process I enjoy to some agent? If an agent did it for me, it wouldn't be my work, my decisions, or my life.

It’s the speed at which it can spit out artwork for non-creatives. They are too easily impressed by something they perceive they created. And it’s cost less.

People throwing prompts are not professionals. Is just the hype of AI for marketing. Professionals are using it but just for specific parts of the workflow.

No, you are missing the point, someone like me who runs a business I don’t have time to spend hours learning blender to do something for my ads, but I can get an agent to work on blender and have it done in seconds, adjust what I need to and not once did I need to hire an artist or a graphic designer but I have expert level looking images 🤷♂️
