@kurinadele: Replying to @Above&Beyond my nervous system therapy really helped me get ahold of myself and get grounded! Lots of breath work and acceptance that labor was here! ✨ #homebirth #birthvlog #laboranddelivery #unmedicatedbirth #naturalbirth
Did you have a doctor at your home? Sometimes the baby can be born with the umbilical cord around the neck. Sometimes the baby needs help breathing. just curious❤️❤️

I have had four babies and I’ve had them all at home and I became more fearful every single baby! But that doesn’t go without saying that I absolutely loved every bit of it and how incredible it is that your body knows what to do❤️

when you know exactly what to expect/ the intensity it brings you most definitely do kinda freak especially at the beginning- also, the more you know the more you have to overthink- like you said it’s BU

You are glowing ❤️and thank you so much for sharing!!! I’m on the fence about doing a natural birth at a birth center but I’m scared I’m going to throw up the whole time

In general birthing children is scary, I have 3 babies and I was scared every single time. Medicated or not, it’s scary no matter how many times you’ve done it.

I think the unmedicated birth community paints this very specific picture of fear free birthing, which can sometimes be unrealistic. I love that you shared that it is okay to have fear and go on to have a beautiful birth!!

being nervous is 100% a valid response to giving birth 🤍 whether it's your first baby or your 10th, it's perfectly acceptable to have fear. People see that you choose a home birth and act like you aren't supposed to have valid feelings 😔

2/3 of my labors started with my waters breaking before contractions. I agree it’s a very different mindset than your water breaking after experiencing contractions for hours

my water broke first to and I was like the Frick? what am I supposed to do if it breaks first??? cause my midwife said your water won't break until a long time after you've already had contractions. I was like my water just broke and nothing is hurting so what on earth🤣

My water broke first before any contractions with both my kiddos. My first labor the contractions were WAY worse than the second time around. I wonder what the cause is of more painful contractions for one birth vs another.

I’ve had my water break prior to labor for all 3 of my births and the anxiety/excited/scared feeling is SO REAL!

My water broke with my 3rd delivery 20 minutes into my induction. Definitely the hardest labor experience I’ve experienced. With that being said, my water broke naturally with my first delivery and it was much easier than the induction.

for me, my water breaking was my first indication of any labor. my oldest and youngest both had water break naturally. my middle two, I had gone in for inductions and the second they started pitocin and I had my first contraction, my water immediately ruptured. it wasn't even a contraction that was bad enough that I felt it in a painful way. which was how I knew that I was going to be going on my own soon even if I hadn't had intervention

I had an un medicated birth last month and I think just vocalizing that I was afraid instead of trying to pretend that I wasn’t made it so much better. My nurse said “you’re afraid, but I know you can do it” and I did and it was amazing. My support people knew exactly what to say to help me get through it.
