Yes!!! Natural consequences! I would do this. Shut ir down for the rest of the week. Re-teach procedures, have them practice like from the very beginning. If it happens again, repeat. They get it together and learn valuable lessons ❤️.

I used to put up paper traffic cones and tell my kids it had to be under construction due to things having to be fixed. I would also include it in my weekly newsletter. For example, the classroom library was closed for construction this week after several friends did not take care of the books properly. We’ve reviewed how to care for books in class, please review proper book care at home as well.
