My ex roommate is a hair stylist (she’s been mine for 13 years) and she has COUNTLESS stories juuuust like this. So many people discredit it, which is insane because you’re on your feet for hours arms up and down constantly and hyper focusing on things (mentally draining) and on top of all that dealing with one on one personal af customer service.

I was an emergency services, shift worker, working 6-7 days in a row, and later years 4 days on, 4 days off. At times my days off were mid-week. My mother told people I had this “little part-time job”.

the other day I blowdried my hair for the first time in like 5 years (new blow dryer was feeling bougie😂) and I was tired after just that! also thinking about taking the blow dryer back😂 I couldn't imagine being a hair stylist I know I couldnt make it all day my arms would fall off!
