Telling you “text me” after giving you their number isn’t enough to know if they want you to text them? Start texting them by inviting them to hang out. It’s not a random meme, joke or a start to a dry conversation. Go from there. If they start replying with 1 word answers or if the conversation is dry. Stop texting them. Unlike face to face conversations, text messages don’t always have a “hello” or “goodbye” part of the conversation. To indicate the start/end of conversation. Sometimes a “👍” is enough. Doesn’t mean they are being disinterested. Idk though. I’ve never heard of someone giving someone their number and not wanted to be contacted.
