my daughter had sepsis, all her markers were normal. Her only symptom was shivering. Thankfully she called me and I knew as soon as i seen her she had a severe infection. Rushed her to the ER and got her on IV she was admitted into the ICU for a week. She made a full recovery 🙏

So would this mean that when we’re looking at the CBC values, lactic acid/lactate specifically, doesn’t always mean the patient is septic?

Hey EMT soon to be AEMT here! I have a quick question? Do patients in sepsis sometimes have extremely high blood pressures? I had a patient yesterday where she had all the other markers for sepsis, BUT her BP was extremely high (in the 190-200s for the systolic and 110-130s for the diastolic)
