I've read somewhere that they didn't want to call them "jumpers" I remember a firefighter in a documentary say that people were put in that situation and forced out of the building. They weren't jumpers because it wasn't on their own free will when you really think about it.

I saw somewhere that even medical examiners didn’t rule it as a suicide but instead of “homocide” because they didn’t choose to die, they were forced to, r.i.p to all those victims

it's good to talk about those who had no choice but to jump. Talking about the jumpers became very taboo after 9/11; I heard many talking heads on TV and radio call them "weak, immoral, uncaring" as if they had another choice aside from the toxic smoke inhalation and 1500° fires.

This absolutely broke me in the documentary. I had always seen the photos but to hear the sound of the people falling. It’s just unimaginable thinking about that decision they made. 💔

Its just shocking. Imagine waking up, getting ready, drinking your coffee and clocking into work… 1-2 hours later ur jumping to ur death from 80 floors up….
