Which is why I show my 8th grade social studies students the “9/11 One Day in America” documentary because just talking about it doesn’t help them understand the gravity. I’ve showed it for 4 years now and I encourage them to talk at home with their parents about their experiences.

I wasn't born, but I was born 9-11-2002. Rest in peace to all those lives lost in 2001. I like to watch a different documentary about the incident each year to learn more about it and in honor of those whose lives were lost. ❤️🕊

I was in the air force. I'll never forget being told to pack and get ready to deploy the same day. I was so READY. I didn't go for a few months, but it was the first time I really understood the "blank check" that I signed when I joined and I was so ready to defend this country

I was born in 98, too young to remember, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that it fundamentally changed everyone’s lives and it’s kinda impossible to really truly understand unless you live through it. Covid is probably the closest thing us younger people have to that fundamental change in society

Netflix has a new series about the build up and aftermath of 9/11. I was almost 3 years old on 9/11 but still learned a lot watching it.

This tragedy was the first time 16 year old me realized how much evil there could be in the world and how precious life is. Never thought we would be vulnerable. Hearing the voicemails from the victims to their loved ones is something I will never forget.

They don't teach it. I made my 4th grader learn about it today when she got home. (Wrapped the night up with a Spider-Man cartoon movie to ease the night) But I told her she has to at least know so that their stories will not be forgotten) ❤️

I was in seventh grade and we were in history class the morning of when this took place and I remember our teacher turning to us and saying please turn your heads to the TV as we are getting ready to see history happen in front of our eyes and when that first plane went through the towers, classmates and I , started hugging each other, and started bawling our eyes out and holding each other tightly as we watch all of it unfold
