The fact that some of them chose to jump instead of burn because you hit the ground once u hit the ground u wouldn’t feel pain because of how fast and hard the impact of u hitting the ground before your brain can even process it

No matter what, they would die. Whether they were crushed by the collapse, suffocated from the fire, or jumped, they would die. This had to have been the hardest decision to make. If they end it now, they won't have to deal with the possibilities later. But they still had to die. There was no help to get. They will be loved for eras to come.
