Girlll I used to speak Moore in the corner at school😭😭 I didn’t wanna anyone to hear me speak I was one of the only francophone in my HS. But I’m sooo grateful what!! To this day my dad has never spoken English to any of me and my siblings he REFUSES! Even though I was born here the only way I learned English was because of school😭 my parents ate. I just need lock in with French now

oh gosh i wish my parents enforced this, it’s so annoying when we go to burkina and my younger siblings always need a translator and it’s so sad to see them not being able to communicate with our relatives like me, but my mooré is stronger than français for sure 🤣

Omg yesss. My parents said when I was in first grade they got a call from my teacher that I was mixing up my french and english words. But I was getting made fun of for it by other kids to the point I kind of went mute and was not wanting to speak period and they felt so bad that they stopped speaking Moore and French to me🥲. Donc j’ai complètement oublié mon Moore mais j’ai toujours mon français
