Fun fact: While this story is based on Greek literature from the Epic Cycle, historians agree that the ‘horse’ was likely a metaphor for either a battering ram (covered in horsehide to protect from fire-arrows), an earthquake (Poseidon was the god of both horses and earthquakes) or possibly a reference to a naval deception where a merchant ship was disguised as a peace offering (Ancient Greek ships were often referred to poetically as "wooden horses of the sea" and featured horsehead figureheads).
