I had a placenta previa, I was 17 weeks 5 days when I had my first and only bleed, I was put in bed rest and told to lay as much as possible on my left side, the dr told me the same thing but my placenta did move! I was still considered high risk my whole pregnancy

Hi! Have you looked into what urgent maternal warning signs are? If not, look at the hearher website. Has your OB referred you to maternal fetal medicine? Last question, are you monitoring your blood pressure, if not, check out the pre eclampsia foundation.

I’ve had two complete previas. I was put on bed rest the first time to reduce risks of bleeding. The previas resolved both times. Don’t let your anxiety take over & take it easy as much as possible.

I had a complete previa (no bleeds during pregnancy) and it moved, vaginal birth, hemorrhaged after (they never told me why) - they knocked me out and fixed me up. Next pregnancy went fine with another vaginal delivery.

Please don't think I'm heartless for asking this but I seriously don't know- what are the chances of this affecting the baby? I know the mother is at risk but is the baby also?

My previa was found at 12 weeks I was working as an RN started bleeding one doc didn’t even check scheduled a d&c saying “so sorry you’re miscarrying” luckily my godmother worked for another OB who got me in within an hr found the complete previa was instantly taken out of work on modified bedrest. Mine was complete was told if I went to work that night and lifted a pt they would lose me and the baby. Mentally prepared for C-section husband was deployed we had it scheduled so he could come home…don’t you know when I went for my stress test that week at 40 weeks they decided to do an u/s just to check and wouldn’t you know…it moved! I was heartbroken to have to have a “regular” birth. 😂 My C-section was going to be under full anesthesia due to cancer history I did not want an epidural cause I had numerous spinal taps when younger. I was high risk I literally had u/s every 2 weeks to every week it literally moved last minute possible. I did bleed more postpartum but I also had cancer as a child and severely anemic and also my period came back at like week 6ish so they had to put me on progesterone cause come 6 weeks of bleeding this girl was wiped out! They did thought I may have retained a clot or placenta but all my scans came back negative it just my anemic self.

Mine moved and I bled my whole pregnancy. So scary. I ended up laboring for 24 hours and then had an emergency c-section but I have my beautiful rainbow and she’s 8 years old now and my perfect girl. You got this! Praying for you!

On my 4th (no issues with previous deliveries which were all natural), I have a full placenta previa after having a uterine ablation. I went into preterm at 26 weeks with a small bleed. I was at work when it happened. They were able to stop the bleed and the preterm. Was placed on bedrest at home until I had her. Was only allowed to get up to use bathroom and could only shower every few days. The second bleed was severe at 33 weeks. I had just taken a shower and was sitting while blowdrying my hair. They got the bleed to stop. At exactly 34 weeks, I had her. Today she is 12, healthy and no deficits. I have a partial hysterectomy 3 years later.

Mine never moved and it was fully covering placenta previa that never moved. I did spend a couple months in the hospital last trimester because of bleeding and I also got gestational diabetes. My daughter and I are fine but it was a very stressful period
