@nrmnyc: ❤️Fran❤️ (264326) from Manhattan @Animal Care Centers of NYC https://nycacc.app/browse/264326 This sweet soul is Fran. ❤️ Fran was recently brought to Manhattan ACC by NYPD as a stray in a severely emaciated condition.🥺 She’s estimated to be about 2 years old and only 20.8 lbs, and she is currently under the care of ACC’s vet team. We don’t know what Fran has been through before arriving here, but she’s safe now and slowly beginning to heal — inside and out. Understandably, Fran has been fearful in the shelter and can become tense in certain situations. But with familiar handlers, she is already starting to show her softer side. She has been noted seeking attention, climbing into a handler’s lap, and even giving little face licks while being pet. ❤️ Because of her initial fearfulness, ACC recommends an adult-only home with no children under 13, where Fran can be given the time, patience, and gentle approach she needs to build trust at her own pace. Fran’s new chapter is only just beginning. After everything her little body has endured, she deserves a safe place where she can continue to heal and finally learn what it feels like to be loved and cared for.
