I actually loved this part of the episode, Surf clearly knows his friend and you rarely come across male friendships where they have that kind of emotional insight on one another. It was refreshing, direct, but he was still funny with it.

Unfortunately I’m that friend in my friend group. I disappear sometimes and it’s not out of malice but sometimes when things get real I need everything and everyone to get out of my way until I get things back in order but I love my brothers tho.

I don’t see how this is a detriment to Joe. In reality nobody is entitled to the spoils of his friendship. Is he supposed to fund their lifestyle forever or sumn? As a grown adult you shouldn’t allow yourself to get that comfortable friends or not.
