@karly.latham: Love isn’t supposed to require you to repeatedly explain why something hurts. Everyone is capable of making mistakes and having bad days, misunderstand you, or getting it wrong sometimes. But there’s a difference between hurting someone unintentionally and continuing to do something after you know it hurts them. If someone knows a behavior destabilizes you, dismisses your feelings, crosses a boundary, or sends you into a spiral, and they keep choosing to do it anyway, that isn’t something you have to normalize just because you love them. You’ee allowed to care about someone and still recognize that their behavior is harmful to you. You’re also allowed to need consistency, consideration, accountability, and emotional safety. And you are absolutely fucking allowed to stop calling something “love” simply because the person doing it says they love you.
