I live in FtWorth area I worked 22 years for American Airlines I am 71 and I have not seen the majority of these beautiful places so choose the northern states in October to see the changing of the leaves and yes there are some alligator in some lakes mainly southeast Tx and yes we have a lot of snakes but they are mainly in the country find some of your favorite things on what your watching and then map out your travel time if you come to Tx unfortunately Americans drive or fly we do not have the tube you use Amtrak train well if you want any tips let me know the one thing at restaurants they expect at least a 20% tip but the refills of tea , etc. If you come to Tx go to a rodeo if you want to buy boots or cowboy hats go to Cavenders or Boot Barn come and have fun
