The double stamp technique: Before you add your foil, line up the leather on the hot stamp and keep it as stable as you can when pressing. And doing this, the foil will be set with crisper lines as it’s embossed deeper into the leather without too much pressure. You could also create a jig that can keep the leather on the same spot with a couple pieces of leather and tape it on the plate of the hot stamp machine. With stamping, a common mistake is pushing down too hard on the foil and it ends up hitting the outside edges of the die. This technique will take a bit of practice but worth it 🤩 what do you think?
