I have a set of Holbein and they are super nice, but they’re pricey. I bought mine years ago and at the time they didn’t offer open stock so I haven’t used them that much. I recently purchased a set of 520 from Kalour and honestly, they’re not bad and they’re really affordable, imo. I think the 520 ran me roughly $130 and it came with a really nice case, sharpeners, erasers and other tools. The only downside to this brand is I don’t think Kalour offers open stock so if you use up a color, you wouldn’t be able to replace it unless you buy a new set. Please correct me if I’m wrong on that. You really can’t go wrong with Prismas though. They’re not as expensive as some other brands, but they’re not cheap either. Sure, you’re shelling out a little more upfront, but at least you can buy individual pencils if you need to. 😊

I have a Prisms color set and recently bought the 520 Kalour off of Temu for $45 that was last year, but it was a grab. I don’t know if I had coupons, but I just jumped on it and they are softcore ❤️and then I have core 260 that’s oil based. And Brutfuner and Kalour are made by the same manufacturer companies. My first set was the BRUTFUNER off of Temu it was actually cheap for a set of 260.

When you use them, make sure to check their lightfastness, as not all of them are lightfast. They’re beautiful and amazing, though—still the best in my opinion.
