We work to pay bills. Borrow to buy land. Pay interest on the money we borrow. Pay for water that comes from the earth. Pay for food that grows from the soil. And eventually, we start believing this is just “how life works.” But does it have to be? I'm not saying we should go backwards. I'm asking a much bigger question: Could we build a society where freedom, cooperation and self-sufficiency matter more than endless debt and consumption?
