Hi, my name is Sofie. I’m from Belgium and i need your help. I’m making this video because my dad is critically ill in Thailand, and my family desperately needs help. In April, he moved to Thailand after his retirement, hoping to start a beautiful new chapter of his life. Before moving, he made sure he had health insurance. His application was medically assessed, his insurance was approved, and he believed he was protected. But only a few months later, our lives completely changed. My dad became seriously ill and was diagnosed with an aggressive B-cell lymphoma. He is currently being treated at Bangkok Hospital Phuket and has spent weeks in intensive care. At the same time, his Thai health insurer refused coverage. But legal procedures take time. And my dad doesn’t have time. His treatment needs to continue now. The hospital costs have become more than our family could ever afford on our own, and without financial support, we are terrified that money will determine whether my father can continue receiving the medical care he needs. I’m begging for help. We are trying to raise as much money as possible to help pay for my dad’s hospital stay and allow his treatment to continue while we fight the insurance decision.
